One for the Money by Janet Evanovich By Tony George I recently read the book One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. It's a mystery novel, but could also be classified as being in the chick lit gene, or possibly even romance. The story begins with Stephenie Plum, laid off lingerie buyer, going to eat dinner at her parents house in the "burg". Stephenie needs a new job, and her cousin Vinnie has an opportunity for her, if she can handle it. Stephenie is offered the job of bounty hunter, and her job is to find a "cop gone bad". Her lack of knowledge of being a bounty hunter, as well as the people she meets, create a humorous but exciting backdrop for the rest of the book. My favorite character is definitely Stephanie, followed by Joe Morelli. Both are quirky but not over the top. I feel like I can relate to Stephenie. I also enjoyed Grandma Mazur's character. I recommend the book to anybody who loves a good mystery. The book mainly appeals to women, but I think that men will enjoy it too.
