Review of 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown
By Tony George
I recently read the book Review of 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown This best selling novel is a great read for all those who crave for a nail-biting mystery thriller. Robert Langdon, a world renowned Harvard symbologist, is the main character of this book and he is called upon by a European research facility to analyse a symbol that is branded on a physicist. What the symbologist uncovers is unbelieveable. The symbols belonged to an old underground organisation - the Illuminati. Langdon finds himself at the Vatican city, trying to save it from being blown up by a discovery made by the murdered physicist and his beautiful daughter, Vittoria Vetra. He tries to solve the crypts with the help of Vittoria and land up in long forgotten cathedrals, dangerous catacombs and hunt for the Illuminati lair. The best part of this book is that the author has managed to craft the entire story with places that really exist. All the locations mentioned in the book are present in the Vatican city and this makes one wonder if this is what the Illuminati really had in mind. Robert Langdon is a clear favourite as he tries to uncover the old and forgotten group, the Illuminati in such a matter-of-fact manner. This book is the prequel to Dan Brown's best selling book, 'The Da Vinci Code' and is a must read! |
