Zapped by Carol Higgins Clark
By Tony George
A Book I recently read is "Zapped" by Carol Higgins Clark Genre: Cozy Mystery Synopsis: Set in New York City the night the lights went out (summer 2003), the book is filled with the madcap adventures of a broadly disparate group, all of whom are brought together to help search for a young man taken captive by a crazed young woman. Along the way a series of unrelated crimes are solved and there are hints of likely romantic liaisons. The protagonist, Regan Reilly, is always a delight. She is, by turns, funny, compassionate, and intelligent. I really enjoyed a relatively minor character, Brian, and would like to get to know him better in future Reilly Mysteries. I highly recommend this book as a quick, light read. Though it is a mystery and someone is in danger, it is written in a light-hearted manner which felt like a visit with friends. |
